300 red and white plums let you know that spring has arrived
This is a plum festival held annually at Kameido Tenjin Shrine famous for the divine favor of school success.
300 plums are planted in the precincts. There are several varieties of plums, each flowering time is different, so you can see plum blossoms for more than a month. The early blooming plum begins to bloom from January, the best time to see is from around mid February.
