“Toro Nagashi” of the Sumida River which was held for the first time at the Festival of Recovery in 1946 was suspended to maintain the tide embankment, but it came to be held again after the Sumida Park Shinsui Terrace was completed. The scenery where many people float lanterns with various wishes on the river is becoming a summer tradition of the Sumida river.
