“Yabusame” riding a running horseback and shooting arrows will be held at Sumida Park

Event cancellation announced

“Yabusame” (Horseback archery) which was held as a New Year event of Asakusa Shrine in the Edo period was revived and is now held in Sumida Park.

The archer wears a hunting clothes and shoots the arrows while riding on the running horse is brave and powerful.

In addition, another place in the park “Kusajishi” (Grass deer archery ceremony) will be held. Kusajishi is held to reenact the old-time archery training to aim at deer-shaped targets made of grass.
