Autumn Grand Festival where various traditional performing arts are dedicated for 3 days
The Autumn Grand Festival will be held at Meiji Jingu Shrine for 3 days from November 1 to November 3, 2019.
During the festival, various Japanese traditional performing arts is dedicated. Such as Noh and Kyogen(classical Japanese theatre), Hogaku and Hobu(classical Japanese dance) will be performed by Leading performers in honor the deities at the main shrine building on November 1 and 2.
In addition, on the final day November 3, various martial arts will be presented at multiple venues in the precincts.
Among them, Yabusame attracts attention of many visitors. The archer wearing samurai costume shoots arrows while riding a running horse. A great cheer goes up when the archer grasps the target gloriously.
This is an opportunity to enjoy traditional performing arts that you cannot usually see, so please visit the venue.
