An annual Festival held at Kameari Katori Shrine that appeared in “Kochikame”
“Kameari Katori Shrine Annual Festival” will be held on September 14th and 15th, 2019.
Kameari Katori Shrine is a venerable shrine celebrated the 740 anniversary in 2016. This shrine appeared frequently in the comic ‘Kochira Katsushika-ku Kameari Koen Mae Hashutsujo’ which had been serialized for 40 years, and it is a familiar place for “Kochikame” fans.

The most exciting event of the festival is the Joint Carrying of town’s portable shrines on the last day. The appearance of lighted-up portable shrines return to the Kameari Katori Shrine one after another is spectacular.
