Sensoji is the oldest temple in Tokyo. Known as the temple of the Asakusa Kannon, 30 million people visit each year from domestic and overseas.
There is a belief that praying on July 10th, which is the “Shiman Rokusen Nichi”, is equivalent to praying 46,000 days. There are 100 ground cherry shops around Sensoji Temple. It has become one of the Tokyo summer tradition.
