A Japanese style tea specialty shop, “Tokyo Saryo” opened in Sangenjaya on January 5, 2017, a new style that barista offers Japanese tea by hand drip, overturning common sense that Japanese tea is made with teapot.
By using a dripper developed for Japanese tea, it is possible to draw out the sweet taste, umami, bitter taste and aroma of Japanese tea.
“Tokyo Saryo” purchases “Single Origin Sencha (green tea)”, which is rare tea leaves of single farms and single varieties, which are usually hardly distributed, from all over Japan.
You can enjoy a drink comparison menu which makes you feel clear the difference in taste by managing hot water temperature and adjusting the steaming time. Tea leaves that can be drunk in the shop are also on sale, and you can purchase favorite tea leaves.

There is a special counter for blending tea, and workshops and events will be held to deepen knowledge the tea through blending and roasting tea leaves, so let’s look forward to them.
