Exciting Creatures of the Deep Sea 2019 (Sunshine Aquarium)
Let’s be excited about the strange form of Deep-sea creatures
“Exciting Creatures of the Deep Sea 2019” will be held at the Sunshine Aquarium during the period from January 12 to March 10, 2019.
The Sunshine Aquarium challenges to collect deep-sea creatures every winter. Because the water temperature inhabiting deep-sea creatures is about 10 degrees, it is possible to collect deep-sea creatures only in the winter when the surface water temperature of the sea becomes low temperature. Collected creatures are carefully taken care of and exhibited in several fish tanks.
During the event period, you can touch deep-sea creatures at “Exciting Touch” (Experience Fee / 300 yen). Furthermore, it is also possible to experience a slimy feeling of Hagfish only every Wednesday and Sunday.
In the souvenir shop, you can purchase various knick-knacks with motifs of deep-sea creatures including Flapjack Octopus.
