More than 1,300 cherry blossoms are colored at Mizumoto Park on the bank of the retarding basin
It is expected that the cherry blossoms will be in full bloom about 10 days earlier than usual.
Please refrain from cherry blossom parties to prevent the spread of the new coronavirus infections.
Built along the Koaidame (flood control basin), Mizumoto Park is the only park in Tokyo with riverside town scenery. This area was designated the Metropolitan Edogawa Suigo Park until 1975. Large and small canals drawn from the Koaidame run through the park.
On the promenade along the park on the west side, Yoshino cherry blossoms are blooming for about 3.5 kilometers. Also, about 740 cherry blossoms are dotted in this park, which is the largest in Tokyo, and you can enjoy cherry blossoms in the way you want.
