Traditional dance in Okinawa “Eisa” excites summer in Shinjuku
“Shinjuku Eisa Festival” will be held on July 27, 2019. “Eisa”, Bon Odori in Okinawa, is a circular dance in which dozens of men and women dance around Sanshins (three strings) and drums.
Eisa’s colorful costumes, energetic dancing, and Okinawa folk songs will make the hot summer of Shinjuku exciting. Twenty-two teams will participate this year. Events at the stage are also held and the east and west of Shinjuku Station will be dyed in Okinawa.
