The works of 100 popular illustrators who are active in the world of Japanese pop culture are collected
“100 Painting Artists Exhibition 09” exhibiting works drawn by 100 popular illustrators will be held at AKIBA_SQUARE from April 27 to May 6, 2019.
In recent years, Japanese pop culture such as manga, anime, games, illustrations for young adult books are drawing attention from all over the world. Illustrators who are active in these fields are called “Eshi” following the “Ukiyo-e Shi” (ukiyo-e artist) in the Edo period.
This time, works of popular artists such as Ume Aoki known for the original character design of “Puella Magi Madoka Magica” and KEI famous for character design of Vocaloid “Hatsune Miku” will be displayed.
During the event several illustrators will hold autograph sessions, so please check the details on the official website.
