Moomin Picture Book Story Exhibition
The world of Moomin’s picture book that fascinates many people regardless of age
“Moomin” keeps being loved by many people regardless of age. Moomin appeared as a “Moomintroll” in a fairy tale written by Tove Jansson (1914-2001), and spread throughout the world through comics, picture books, animation, and so on. Among them, the three Moomin picture books left by Tove Jansson are different from fairy tales and comics drawn in black and white, a popular series that can enjoy the rich colors. “Moomin Picture Book Story Exhibition” will introduce these picture books in detail on panels and special images.
Also, about 80 original drawings of authorized writers Riina and Sami Kaarla who drawn new picture book faithfully to Tove’s art work are exhibited for the first time in Japan. It is a must-see original art work which added their humor to the world view of Tove’s work.
More than 300 kinds of Moomin goods including the exhibition limited goods which only available at the venue will be sold.
